Éloge de los angeles vie plus que crainte de los angeles mort donc, ce récit autobiographique est ni plus ni moins que l’histoire d’un retour. D’un retour imprévu et d’autant plus heureux.

C’est un livre que j’ai écrit presque malgré moi, sans doute parce que je tremble à l. a. basic évocation des faits que j’y raconte. Cependant, une petite voix intérieure me disait : « Mais oui, écris cette histoire. Ce sera le aspect ultimate, ta façon d’avoir le dernier mot sur ces événements terribles. » Mais je sais aujourd’hui que l. a. mort seule mettra le element ultimate à cet épisode de ma vie si fondateur, si semblable à une naissance douloureuse. Jamais, je crois, je n’aurai été aussi complètement athée que maintenant, à présent que le memento de ce fatidique été 2004 s’évanouit peu à peu. Et pourtant, j’aime comme jamais cette picture du Christ, determine mythique de tous les hommes, portant une croix, tombant, puis se correct et marchant vers une vie autre.
